3:02 AM EST on January 1st, 2017. Seems like Weebly is based on the West Coast or something, since it has an offset of 3 hours from my time. Ah well, I wasn't about to post my New Year post on "December 31st" again😂
Anyway, this year, I did make some advancements in app development. I released two iOS apps, AutoTutor and Paperboy Assistant, I submitted an update to AutoTutor (submitted on December 23rd, 2016, but hasn't been approved since iTunes shut down for the holidays and stuff). An update for Paperboy Assistant is also in the works, and should be completed relatively soon. The app I developed for tech class will get on the App Store at some point, but I'm working on a companion Apple Watch app. However, it's currently on hold because of school and Paperboy Assistant. The game I'm working on (Starfighter) is also on hold because of school and PA. My iOS development skills have improved a lot over the last year, and I'm hoping they continue to improve. A few other things happened during 2016. I changed my Twitter handle to @JustinAlexP and I created a new SoundCloud profile under the name Blesserman. I was selected to beta test Riley Testut's Delta, a multi-emulator for iOS. There were probably other noteworthy things, but it is 3AM and I'm very tired, so I can't remember. You should check my Twitter for more details. I'm also going to update you guys on the statuses of all the projects I've mentioned since my first New Year post in 2013. 2013 None 2014 "Remember when we were all hyped about an app? It is currently being developed, but there's a couple bugs to get rid of before release. We hope you like it." That app was Gnop, a game. It has since been cancelled. It was horribly written, and used UIKit (UIKit is great and powerful, but not for games). It just barely worked until iOS 8 came out, and totally broke it. However, it did get me introduced to Objective-C, the language I use to write iOS apps, so it was definitely not a waste of time, it was a learning experience. 2015 "B-OGOnet v8 was canceled" I don't think I have to explain much, B-OGOnet v8 was cancelled, and I am not planning to build any new web browsers in the future. However, if you're interested in downloading B-OGOnet v7.22 (for fun or for the funky features it offers), you may do so here. You can also download the original version on this website under Downloads, then B-OGOnet. I know I have all the older versions somewhere, I'll upload them somewhere at some point, but there just isn't much demand for them. 2016 "I still have 2 apps in development..." Those apps were AutoTutor and Starfighter. AutoTutor has been released on the App Store (learn more about it here), while Starfighter is on hold because of school and other projects. This year, on February 10th, 2017, Smallcut/Blast Gamers/Canned Gamers turns 5 years old. I'll try not to miss the birthday post this year😂 Also, while I was looking through all the old posts, I saw that I typically said that the year had been bad. I said that 2012 had been horrible, then that 2013 started great and ended badly. I didn't say much about 2014 or 2015, but I remember 2014 starting off continuing the bad from 2013 and 2015 ending quite badly. I'll just assume that the end of 2014 and the beginning of 2015 were good. But I don't think any of these years can match how bad 2016 was. I really hope 2017 is a great year for everyone. I'm going to continue working on my projects, and I'll keep you guys updated on Twitter, so you really should follow me there. However, I'll keep doing these yearly posts (and the birthday posts) for those of you that refuse to use Twitter. See you guys in February (if I remember), Have a happy 2017!
